QwikScanner uses Google ML Kit's text recognition engine — the same technology powering Google Lens — running entirely on your device.

Sign in with your Google account and sync documents directly into a QwikScanner/ folder in your own Drive. We only access files we create — nothing else in your Drive is ever read or modified.

The narrowest possible permission — access is limited strictly to files QwikScanner created.

QwikScanner is designed to keep your data with you — not on our servers. Here's exactly what happens with your information.

Stored on your device

Scanned images, OCR text, and document metadata are stored only in your phone's local SQLite database.

Your Drive, your files

When you sync, files go to your Google Drive. QwikScanner never stores your documents on its own servers.

Minimal OAuth scope

We request only the drive.file scope — the narrowest available. We cannot read any file you didn't create with this app.

🧠

Offline OCR

Text recognition runs fully on-device via Google ML Kit. Your document contents are never transmitted to any server during OCR.

Secure token storage

Google access tokens are stored in the device's hardware-backed secure enclave (expo-secure-store), not in plain storage.

Right to delete

Sign out at any time to revoke access. Delete documents locally. Remove Drive files directly from Google Drive at your discretion.
